The Council of Representatives raises its session to Saturday

The Council of Representatives has finished voting on a bill, reading and debating three other laws and lifting immunity from MP Faeq Sheikh Ali, and lifted its session to next Saturday.

 

The Council of Representatives held the third session of the second legislative term earlier Tuesday to vote on a number of bills and read a number of others.

 

A parliamentary source told PUKmedia that the Council voted on the first amendment to the law of the agricultural quarantine number (76) for 2012, noting that the council completed the first reading of the draft law of the first amendment to the law of the Ministry of Interior No. (20) of 2016.

 

He pointed out that the Council has finished reading the report and discussion of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the grain trade agreement of 1995 submitted by the committees of foreign relations and legal, economy, investment, agriculture, water and marshes, noting that the members of the Council voted to lift the immunity of MP Faeq Sheikh Ali.

 

He continued that the Council has read the report and discussion of the draft law of accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention of Minamata on mercury submitted by the committees of foreign relations, health and environment, explaining the Speaker of the Council, Mohamed al-Halbousi raised the session to next Saturday, 21/9/2019.
