Launch of Will of Victory’s fifth phase

The Joint Operations Command announced on Monday, September 16, 2019, the launch of Will of Victory’s fifth phase to track down ISIS cells in the Anbar province.


In a statement which PUKmedia received a copy of, the Special Forces unit’s Lieutenant General, Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, said: Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces with under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, after the fourth phase of Will of Victory Operation achieved its goals set accurately and successfully, the fifth phase of the operation began at dawn Monday, September 16, 2019, in the desert of Anbar, south of the international road that borders Karbala and Najaf to the Saudi-Iraqi border.


The statement said: This operation comes with the support of the Air Force, the Iraqi army and international coalition, and aims to dry up the sources of terrorism and prosecute the wanted and terrorist elements to enhance security and stability in the areas covered by this phase.
