Iraq hosts West Asian Athletics Championship

Iraq will host the new athletics championship after the end of its activities in the Lebanese capital Beirut.


Sabah Hassan, a member of the Iraqi Association of Athletics told PUKmedia: "Iraq will host the fourth championship of West Asia athletics events, explaining that Iraq got the fifth place after obtaining 12 medals."


He added that the closing ceremony of the tournament in Lebanon with the participation of 10 teams saw the delivery of the banner of the next Championship to Iraq which will be in 2020.
