Sulaymaniyah: The cultural houses, historical and old places will be restored

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, Awat Mohammad, the Surrogate of Sulaymaniyah city with the committee of protecting the historical and cultural places visited some cultural houses, historical and old places that were under the risk of breaking down because of the different causes.

 

Their visit was for the purpose of closely looking at these historical and old places to go against anything that damage these areas.

 

The Sulaymaniyah surrogate said in a statement: it is a patriotic effort to protect these historical and old places, and the local government will strongly put their highest effort to protect these areas from ruining in the city of Sulaymaniyah.

 

He added: protecting these cultural and historical places are significant because it remarks and highlights the Kurdistan and Kurd’s history, culture, date, and civilization. He emphasized on managing important procedures for that purpose and call on the citizens to work together in protecting these important places together.

 

He continued: the projects of restoring the old historical house and places were stopped for a while for different causes. However, these projects will start again in renovating these historical places to maintain our culture and history, and protect them as an important symbol in order to let the next generation to know about their history and dates.
