Kosrat Rasul: PUK supports the dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad

Mr. Kosrat Rasul Ali, Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, received on Wednesday, Serena Moroni, the Italian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region and her accompanying delegation.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Italy, and the role of Italy in supporting the Kurdistan Region, and Mr. Kosrat Rasul Ali thanked the Italian government and people, stressing the need to strengthen and develop cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Italy.

 

On the other side of the meeting, Mr. Kosrat Rasul Ali and the Italian Consul in the Kurdistan Region discussed the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi federal government and the steps of rapprochement between them, and stressed the need for both sides to take serious steps and a clear structure to deal with the problems radically.

 

The Deputy Secretary General reaffirmed the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s support for dialogue and understanding between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi federal government.

 

The Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan on the program and plans of the PUK for the new government in the Kurdistan Region, said: The major tasks fall on the government team of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the team must be a role model in providing services, reform and implementation of the best service program. 

 

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan thanked the international coalition forces for supporting and backing the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army in its war against terrorism, calling for serious action to end extremist thought in the region.
