A delegation of martyrs' families visits the Samawah mass grave

A delegation of martyrs and Anfal families is due to visit the site of the mass grave in the town of Samawah in Muthanna province on Tuesday.

 

In a press conference, Hawre Peshro, representative of the martyrs and Anfal families’ delegation, said: We arrived in the city of Samawah to visit our loved ones and thank the competent teams for their efforts to extract the remains of martyrs from the mass grave.

 

He added: We call on the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government to coordinate with international organizations and the International Tribunal to define the Anfal crimes as genocide at the international level.

 

He continued: The families of the Anfal are still waiting for the return of their children, but unfortunately they are found in mass graves.
