From Prison to Park

Daik park is one of the most amazing parks in Sulaymaniyah city, where it was a prison to hurt Kurdish people at the Baath Regime time. However, the Kurdistan Regional Government broke out the prison, and built a park there, and named the park as "Daik Park" means "Mother's Park" as to show respect for mothers.

Now, Daik park is one of the most beautiful parks of Sulaymaniyah city. it contains a statue of a mother holding her child.

One of the photographer of PUKmedia website visited Daik Park and took some amazing photos of the park.
