Iraq, Russia discuss joint committee preparations

Iraq - Baghdad, on Thursday the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, discussed the preparations for the convening of the Iraqi-Russian Ministerial Committee with the Russian Ambassador.
The Media Office of the Presidency said in a statement that PUKmedia obtained a copy of it: that Al-Kadhimi received the new ambassador of the Russian Federation, Elbrus Kutrashev, who recently assumed his duties as the ambassador of his country in Iraq.
According to the statement, Al-Kadhimi stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and developing joint cooperation between Baghdad and Moscow in a manner that serves the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
Both sides discussed the ongoing preparations for the convening of the Iraqi-Russian joint ministerial committee in the capital, Moscow, which would develop the level of cooperation in various fields and levels.
