Iraq announces 4,770 new cases of Covid-19, 23 deaths

The Iraqi Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed 4,770 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number to 1,233,240 in the country.
The Ministry also said that 23 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 16,589.
Adding that 4,119 recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 1,151,515 in Iraq.
The new cases were recorded after 42,624 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours with the vaccination of 18,353 people in the country.
