MP calls on Iraqi parliament to discuss Turkish violations of Iraqi territory

Rezan Sheikh Diller, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, on Sunday called on the parliament to be convened to discuss Turkish violations of Iraqi territory.
On Thursday, 2021/6/3, the Iraqi Council of Representatives failed for the second time to hold a regular session of debate and vote on a number of bills.
"The council's meetings were limited to one day a week," MP Rezan Sheikh Diller told PUKmedia, adding that she had requested at the last session, deliberatively, to host Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Turkish violations of Iraqi sovereignty.
"Unfortunately, the Council of Representatives has not been convened to face serious immediate challenges and escalations in the country, excluding any session soon," she said.
Turkish warplanes on Saturday targeted a refugee camp in Makhmour, killing three people, as turkish army military operations inside Kurdistan Region have continued since April 23.
