The dollar exchange rate on Sunday in the currency markets of Kurdistan region reached 150,050 dinars.
"The exchange rate of 100 dollars when the market opened was 149,850 dinars, but the price rose to 150,050 dinars this afternoon," Shwan Hadi, a currency trader at the Sulaimaniyah market, told PUKmedia.
"The rise in the exchange rate of the dollar is caused by increased demand for its purchase by companies, traders and citizens," he said, adding that the high price had nothing to do with the Central Bank of Iraq.
