Talabani: Current situation requires unity of class, endurance, careful thinking
Kurdistan 06:14 PM - 2021-06-06.
"Failure and lack of hope are the result of the past complexities and differences of our people," said Qubad Talabani, deputy prime minister of the Kurdistan Region.
"What happened in Mount. Matin is an unfortunate incident and is a concern for every loyal and patriotic Kurd," Talabani said in a statement. Our people have tasted many bitterness and suffering in the past because of the differences and fighting between the Kurdish parties, so it is not the right of these people who have not seen good to be terrified and more worried. The current situation requires all our parties to be as responsible as we are in talking and doing, and at this time we need unity of class, endurance and careful thinking more than ever to protect the Kurdistan Region and the Kurdish people from dangers.
Failure and lack of hope are the product of the past complexities and differences of our people, and so far we pay the tax of past fighting and disagreements. If we continue through this phase in the past deadly mistakes, it will undoubtedly result in failure and lack of hope for all Kurds. Therefore, all our parties have a great responsibility and we must make efforts towards finding solutions, not complicating the situation, and work to solve problems with acumen, care and responsibility.
My heartfelt condolences to the families of the Peshmerga martyrs who were martyred in the Mountains of Metin, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery and I hope to prevent this tragedy from repeating through wisdom and foresight.
