Work continues on the 100-meter highway project, which revolves around the center of the Sulaymaniyah governorate for an extension of 146 km. The road starts from the Tasluja area to the Arbat district, heading towards Mount Azmar and returning to the Sarchinar area.

 

"The 100-meter highway in Sulaymaniyah is considered one of the most important strategic projects in the governorate at a cost of 400 billion dinars and will be completed in 3 years in several stages along 146 km, the first phase of the project begins From Tasluja Bridge at the beginning of the entrance to the city and to the village of Damro Kan, which is 32 km long," Shabazz Siddiq, an engineer of the project, which is being implemented by the Qaiwan Group of Companies, told PUKmedia.

 

Siddiq added, "the project started in July 2020, and 20% of it has been implemented during the last period. The importance of this project is that it connects more than 32 villages in Sulaymaniyah Governorate at a speed of 120 km per hour."
