Talabani, Kadhimi discuss latest developments in relations between KRG, Baghdad

Qubad Talabani, deputy PM of the Kurdistan Regional Government, head of the high-level government negotiating delegation to Baghdad, met Wednesday with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi to discuss the mechanism for implementing the 2021 budget bill, the region's financial entitlements, and reaffirmed compliance with budget paragraphs.

 

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in relations between the baghdad and KRG, particularly the implementation of the federal budget bill, and ensuring the kurdistan Region's share of the budget.

 

"Once again, the two sides reaffirm their commitment to the fiscal budget law in order to solve outstanding problems in accordance with the constitution and the law, and to establish a long-term and lasting understanding," said Qubad Talabani, deputy PM of the Kurdistan regional government.
