PUK wishes a happy Eid to the people of Kurdistan

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) wishes a happy Eid Al-Fitr to the people of Kurdistan and hopes that this Eid would be an occasion to achieve the rights and demands of the people.

 

Message of the Co-President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Lahur Sheikh Jangi

 

The Co-President of the PUK, Lahur Sheikh Jangi, congratulated the people of Kurdistan in a message on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr during which he said: 

 

In the Name of God, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful,

 

On the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, I extend my sincere greetings to all our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the rest of the world, to the families of our honorable martyrs, the heroic Peshmerga, the medical staff, the internal security forces, the Counter-Terrorism Group, the political prisoners, the people with special needs, and the rest of the people of Kurdistan, hoping that this feast brings prosperity and happiness for our people. It is noteworthy that Muslims fast and pray in the holy month and take it as an opportunity to review themselves, purify their hearts, renew their life, and make Eid an occasion for tolerance and salvation. On this day, as we celebrate, our country is facing the terror of ISIS, Kurds are not united, they face many problems and crises and our citizens in Kirkuk and the disputed territories are expecting more from us and our civil servants are waiting to receive their salaries without reduction. 

 

The political parties should take advantage of this Eid for tolerance and resolving differences between them in a patriotic spirit, away from political stagnation and accusations against one another. They should take advantage for the sake of national unity, peace, and harmony, to serve the people of Kurdistan, solve the outstanding problems, face the challenges and crises, and provide welfare and a worthy life for people. We at the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s (PUK) Presidency, assure our citizens in Kirkuk, Khanaqin and the disputed territories that the policy and programs of the PUK are to restore balance and save them from the difficult situation they are in, and we reaffirm that results of our efforts will be seen after Eid. May God spare the people and Kurdistan from any hardship and problem, and spare all of humanity from the coronavirus, and accept all the fast and prayers of the Muslims. I wish you all a happy Eid.

The Co-President of the PUK, Bafel Talabani, congratulated the people of Kurdistan in a message on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr during which he said:

 

On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, I extend warmest congratulations to the honorable families of the martyrs, the courageous Peshmerga, and the people of Kurdistan and Iraq.

 

I hope this feast to be filled with joy and happiness. I would like to call on all political forces and parties to make this feast an occasion for further reviving the spirit of tolerance, rapprochement, and joint work to provide a worthy and prosperous life for the people of Kurdistan who have been exhausted from the long years of political and economic instability. 

 

Achieving the rights and the demands of the people must be at the forefront of our works and we must take serious steps in this regard

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) congratulated all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

 

The text of the congratulations said:

 

On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the people of Kurdistan in all its components.

 

We extend our congratulations to the families of the martyrs, Anfal, and the victims of chemical weapons and the heroic Peshmerga.

 

We wish Eid al-Fitr to be a source of tolerance, deepening the spirit of social peace, and full of harmony and stability with adhering to health and preventive instructions.

Kosrat Rasul: May this Eid becomes a significant station to pass the current situation

Kosrat Rasul Ali, President of the Supreme Political and Interest Council of the PUK, congratulated the people of Kurdistan on Eid Al-Fitr.

 

His message said:

 

On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, I extend warmest congratulations to all Muslims of the world and the Muslims of the Kurdistan Region in particular. I hope this Eid brings good and joy to our people.

 

Our people passed a hard year filled with crisis. I hope that Eid Al-Fitr becomes a significant station to pass the current situation and overcome the hardships and crisis and this will only be achieved with tolerance and unity.

 

Once again, happy Eid to everyone, especially the honorable families of the martyrs, Anfal, and the Heroic Peshmerga.
