Iraq's Covid-19 tally tops 1,086,141 with 6,143 cases in 24 hours

The Iraqi Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed 6,143 new cases of the coronavirus, raising the total number to 1,086,141 in the country.

 

The Ministry also said that 42 more people died from the coronavirus during the day, bringing the death toll to 15,608.

 

Adding that 7,242 recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 971,793 in Iraq.

 

The new cases were recorded after 38,609 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.

 

The Ministry also pointed out that 20,129 people were vaccinated during the day.
