Bafel Talabani: We will continue to defend workers' rights

Bafel Talabani, the Co-President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), issued a statement on the occasion of May 1, World Workers' Day.

 

The Co-President said his the statement: 

 

"On International Workers' Day, we salute and honor loyal workers who had an important and effective role in building and reconstructing our beloved Kurdistan.

 

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan arose and developed from the heart of workers and hard-working people, so it supports and defends the legitimate rights and legal demands of workers, and it is our duty to be loyal to the important and historical role of workers.

 

Because of the difficult economic conditions that Kurdistan has witnessed during the past years, workers have gone through a difficult life, so we renew the pledge to continue efforts to provide a better life and a more suitable living for our dear workers in Kurdistan."
