Kurdistan 11:42 PM - 2021-04-18.
Two Katyusha rockets landed the town of Kifri in the Kurdistan Region's Garmian administration on Sunday evening, injuring one person.
One of the rockets landed inside the market of the town of Kifri, and the other landed in the Imam Ahmed neighborhood. The bombing did not result in any casualties.
The perpetrators behind these recent attacks on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is still not known.
Earlier on Sunday, 5 rockets also hit Balad Air Base, which hosts US contractors, in Iraq's Saladin governorate, injuring two members of Iraq’s security forces.
A string of rocket attacks on Iraqi air bases hosting the global coalition forces have heightened tensions in the region.
A drone charged with TNT targeted a coalition base at Erbil International Airport on Wednesday and on the same night, three rockets were fired at Zilkan military base near the town of Bashiqa, in Iraq's Nineveh province. One Turkish soldier was killed and two villagers were injured in the attack.
