Ambassador Shorish Saeed presents his credentials as Iraq's Ambassador to China

Ambassador Shorish Khalid Saeed on Saturday has presented his credentials as Resident Ambassador and Extraordinary Commissioner of the Republic of Iraq to the President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Xi Jinping, along with a number of new ambassadors of diplomatic missions in the Great Hall of the People in the capital, Beijing.

 

After completing the ceremony of handing over credentials, the Chinese president delivered a welcoming speech to the attending ambassadors and requested that his greetings and good wishes be conveyed to their heads of state, and stated that during the past year the Chinese people worked with the people of other countries to combat the (Covid-19) pandemic, so this represents a new chapter in the history of global friendly cooperation. 

 

At the ceremony of presenting his credentials, Ambassador Shorish conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to President Xi Jinping, and Iraq's desire to move forward with the development of bilateral relations, and more cooperation in all fields between Baghdad and Beijing.

 

He expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support provided by the People's Republic of China to Iraq, especially the medical supplies, and the vaccines that they recently sent to the Ministry of Health to limit the spread of Coronavirus.
