Iraqi President: Targeting Baghdad and Erbil are terrorist crimes

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih, confirmed that targeting facilities in Erbil and Baghdad are condemned terrorist crimes.

 

The President of the Republic said in a tweet on his Twitter account, on Wednesday night: "The repeated targeting of facilities in Erbil, and before them in Baghdad and other regions, are condemned terrorist crimes that target the security of the citizen and impede the existing national efforts to protect the stability and sovereignty of the country, and require uniting the ranks to support the security services in enforcing the law, protecting citizens, and combating terrorists out of the law. "

 

A powerful explosion was heard near Erbil International Airport on Wednesday night, while the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) confirmed that the sound of the explosion was caused by a drone carrying high-explosive TNT, targeting a base of the international coalition forces at the airport.
