KRG: Health Ministry asking citizens to vaccinate themselves

Kurdistan Region - Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region issued a statement asking the region's citizens to receive the Covid Vaccine. 

 

Health Ministry Spokesperson, Dr. Aso Hawezy, said in a statement that, everyone was hoping to have a vaccine against the pandemic yet the region's citizens are vaccinating themselves as the vaccine is available now. 

 

He added that there is an opportunity now to receive the vaccine that may not be available in the future, indicating that other countries have a problem of providing vaccines against Covid-19 with the companies producing the vaccine, calling on citizens to hurry in recording their names to receive the Corona vaccine and motivate the elderly in this regard.

 

Hawezy indicated that the types of vaccines available in the Kurdistan Region are the British AstraZeneca, the Chinese Sinopharm, and the American Pfizer, and they are distributed and vaccinated citizens with them in health centers designated for this purpose throughout the region, adding that the percentage of those registered to receive the vaccine is below the required level.
