An earthquake hits Kurdistan Region on scale of 5.1

An earthquake struck this evening, Tuesday, in the province of Sulaymaniyah, while the tremors were felt in Halabja, Penjwin, and Kirkuk.

 

According to the global Earthquake application, the epicenter of the quake was on the border between the Kurdistan Region and Iran, and it was 5.1 on the Richter scale.

 

While the quake was at a depth of 40 kilometers from the ground, there was no information at this moment about any damage or human casualties.
