PUK sponsors campaign to restore school furniture in Khurmatu

Under the sponsorship of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) organizations in Khurmatu , the City Youth Group has initiated the campaign to renew and restored the schools' furniture in Khurmatu city.

 

This initiation is part of PUK's continuous campaigns to support service sectors that provide services to citizens.

 

Khurmatu is the central city of Tooz District in Saladin Governorate, Iraq, located 55 miles south of Kirkuk. The city  is a disputed territory between the KRG and the Iraqi Government as it is part of the disputed areas covered by the Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution.

 

According to the Article 140 of the Iraqi constitution, the disputed territories are areas that were Arabized during the former dictator Saddam Hussein's Baath regime.
