Love Carnival dedicated to the Late artist Ari Baban took place in Sulaymaniyah

On Valentine's day and in the presence of Sulaymaniyah governor, family, and a large number of artists, the Love Carnival dedicated to the late Kurdish artist Ari Baban took place at the Amna Suraka National Museum's gallery in Sulaymaniyah

 

Five paintings of the late artist Ari Baban was showcased in the carnival along with 75 other art pieces made by local and foreign artists, which all of them were dedicated to the memory of the late artist Ari Baban.

 

The participants introduced the late Ari Baban as the symbol of love.

 

In another part of the carnival, a novel translated to Kurdish by the late Ari Baban was distributed to the participants and later the renowned Kurdish artist Hama Rauf Kirkuki performed a number of songs dedicating them to the soul of the late artist.

 

The attendees expressed grief by laying roses and candles in front of the photo of the late artist Ari Baban.

 

The Kurdish artist Ari Baban died in December last year at the age of 67 after struggle with illness.

 

The artist Ari Baban was born in the city of Kirkuk in 1953. He has 8 personal exhibitions and participated in more than 160 joint exhibitions with artists in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and abroad. He was also the former director of the Public Library in Sulaymaniyah,

 

The late artist opened his first personal exhibition in the city of Kirkuk in 1970.
