Kurdish woman owns a restaurant in the busiest market of Sulaymaniyah

Kurdistan women, especially Sulaymaniyah women, have been a pioneer in inventions and extinguished and different works and throughout history, they have worked tirelessly alongside the men to make a living for themselves and their families as well, especially now that the financial crisis has become a major issue in people's lives.

 

All of the reason's we have mentioned above made the Kurdish woman Hawar Shawkat from the city of Sulaymaniyah defy all odds and decide to open her own restaurant in the heart of the Bazaar (market) of Sulaymaniyah in a place that is known to have mostly men visitors and now her restaurant is being visited by men and women as well.

 

Shawkat's restaurant is run by some women and it is at the service of customers with tasty and delicious authentic Kurdish foods that being prepared by these beautiful hardworking women who manage to achieve their daily tasks successfully and gracefully.

 

Mrs. Shawkat told PUKmedia: "Women should no longer wait for anyone to make a living for her because women have their own abilities and personalities like the men."

 

She added: "We as the staff of 'Gull Khanim' restaurant do our daily tasks fearlessly and seriously and a large number of people are satisfied with our food.. We even receive appreciation from them and this proves that Sulaymaniyah women have always been cooperators and colleagues of men in making a living for themselves and their families."
