PUK begins cleaning campaign in Kirkuk

On Sunday, a cleaning campaign was begun by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK)  in cooperation with  Kirkuk city's municipality.

 

Engineer Faraidun Adil, Director of Kirkuk Municipality said in a statement that the campaign is being conducted by the PUK on the recommendation of the PUK co-leaders and in cooperation with the PUK's General Administration and Kirkuk Municipality.

 

He pointed out that the campaign includes all sectors of the municipality, aiming to clear the city from waster following the reduction in the city's budget by the Iraqi government.

 

Adil said that "a large amount of waste is being accumulated in the city every day and the municipality cannot collect them. The PUK's initiative comes to support and serve Kirkuk's municipality and will last for a month."
