Ever had Mrs. Sabri's freshly fried Nawsajis?

Hawrami woman sells Kurdish Nawsaji bread on the Daga Sheikhan-Wazani road in Hawraman region, 27 km east of Halabja city, to make a living for her and her family.

 

Nawsaji bread is a very famous cuisine for Kurdish people. It is made by frying dough but the dough must include yeast. 

 

Sabri Abdulaziz is a 48 years old resident of Hawraman who has been selling Kurdish Nawsaji bread along with her son and daughter for two years and says that a large number of tourists visit her to buy her tasty Nawsajis. 

 

She works every day from the morning until late evenings.

 

Sabri told PUKmedia: "I have been doing this for 2 years. I work every day from the morning until the evening."

 

"Many people visit me daily to buy Nawsajis, especially during winters and during the Eids as many tourists visit these regions from central and southern Iraq and other cities of the Kurdistan Region."

 

Sabri pointed out: "I work with my son and daughter.. I prepare the Nawsajis and my son and daughter sell it to the tourists."

 

She talked about what makes her Nawsajis special and said: "I use fresh local milk and Kurdish fennel flower seeds which give a special different taste."

 

She plans to develop her business in the future to attract more tourists.
