Ahmed Raouf, the man who does not know boredom in the world of theater

He hasn't stopped acting on stage for many years. He emerged from the oppression of the dictatorial era during the Baathist regime, and from Abu Ghraib prison, he once again ascends on the stage.

 

He entered the world of drama, television shows and cinematic films. He is the Kurdish artist Ahmed Raouf, born in Sulaymaniyah, Malkandy, 1965.

 

Raouf participated in many theatrical works, including (The Man Who Become a Dog, Pontella and Maki, The Last Song, Young Children, The Journey of Destiny) and many other works.

 

He was arrested by the Ba'athist regime in 1985 due to his involvement in political work, and he remained for four years in Abu Ghraib prison.

 

Ahmed Raouf married artist Rezan Faraj in 1988 and has a son and daughter named Mohamed and Tre.

 

After the popular uprising in 1991, Raouf has participated in many artistic works.

 

He directed the play (The Forest and the Law), which was shown for four months in the city of Sulaymaniyah, and then the play was shown for a month in the cities of Mannheim and Nuremberg, Germany.

 

Raouf participated in the popular comedy show of (Barnamay Barnama).

 

For four years, he directed the drama (Qaqa) on the Kurdsat channel.

 

Since 2015 until now, he has participated without interruption as a supervisor and actor in (Bazami Bazm).

 

He participated in the 2019 Kurdish movie (Statue of the Heart) directed by Shuan Atuf.
