PUK congratulates Dutch Labour Party on the Victory of Lilianne Ploumen as Party leader

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan congratulated the Dutch Labor Party on the occasion of its conference on the victory of Lilianne Ploumen as the new leader and candidate for Parliament.
For the first time in 75 years, a woman wins the presidency of a political party who will head the list of upcoming elections in the Netherlands
The delegation of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Sarkawt Ghafour, Head of the Foreign Relations Board of the PUK and Bakhtiyar Bakir, PUK representative in Netherlands, Participated in a conference of the Dutch Labor Party.
The Dutch Labour Party Conference, which is one of the Socialist International parties, was founded in 1946 as a merger of the Social Democratic Workers' Party, the Free-thinking Democratic League, and the Christian Democratic Union. It is one of the strongest parties in the Netherlands, and it is expected that the number of its seats will increase in the next parliament.
It is noteworthy that Lilianne Ploumen had previously visited the Kurdistan region as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of her country, and it is expected that relations between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Dutch Labour Party to be strengthened as she assumed her new responsibilities.
