PUK co-leader meets Iraqi President in Baghdad

Lahur Sheikh Jangi, the co-leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met on Thursday in Baghdad with the Iraqi President, Barham Salih to discuss efforts to pass the draft federal budget law for 2021.
During the meeting, which was attended by a number of members of the Political Bureau and the Leadership Council of the Patriotic Union, and members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, intensified efforts were discussed to pass the draft federal budget law for 2021, and to ensure the Kurdistan Region’s share in the draft law.
For his part, the co-leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Lahur Sheikh Jangi, stressed the need for unity in the discourse and position of the Kurdish parties in Baghdad to address the problems in order to improve the living conditions of the people and ensure the salaries of employees.
He expressed his thanks to Dr. Jwan Ihsan for her efforts during the past period, while Mrs. Ala Talabani was chosen as the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Parliament.
