PUK co-leader congratulates Kurdistani Nwe on 29th anniversary of its publication

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's co-leader, Lahur Sheikh Jangi on Tuesday congratulated Kurdistani Nwe Newspaper on its 29th anniversary of finding.

 

"Sirs, editor in chief, editing secretarial, journalists, and staff of Kurdistani Nwe newspaper, on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the newspaper’s publication, I extent my warmest congratulations," PUK co-leader wrote on his official Facebook page.

 

The party's co-leader added that "the publication of a daily newspaper like Kurdistani Nwe, aside from being a distinguished innovation in the media of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) during that period of time, it is also considered a significant achievement for Kurdish journalism, culture and literature."

 

"Kurdistani Nwe has the privilege of accumulating a tremendous number of scholars, journalists, and writers, with different political views, facilitating freedom of expression in society," he said.

 

Sheikh Jangi wished the newspaper even more success in being able to play, as it has always done, a fundamental role in disclosing the truth through constructive criticism, and to reflect the hand of bouquet principle in its editing and stories.

 

Kurdistani Nwe was the first Kurdish newspaper to be published after the 1991 uprising against the bloody regime of the past dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussain. The newspaper has played a very important role in keeping the people of Kurdistan informed and protected the national ideals and philosophy of the Kurdish people.
