They attempted migration due to unemployment, but found business idea on their way

Miran, a young Kurdish man who graduated from university, he with his brothers were not able to get job opportunities due to the economic crisis in the Kurdistan Region, so they decided to immigrate and as they arrived in Turkey, they were inspired by Turkish restaurants and they had the idea of opening a Turkish-style business in the Kurdistan Region.

 

Kasa Brnj is the brother's project which is a fast food restaurant that is taking into account the financial crisis that the region is going through as the restaurant provides its services at reasonable prices.

 

Miran told PUKmedia: "We are brothers who graduated from the university and remained without work, because government employments has been stopped, and through our travel to Turkey, we initiated the idea of ​​opening a Turkish-style fast-food restaurant in Erbil and so we opened the restaurant!"

 

"Our business succeeded in winning many people's preference for our restaurant, and the reason is that you satiate with little or no cost."

 

Miran pointed out that after a year of opening the restaurant, the demand for it is still increasing.

 

He says that most of those who come to their restaurant are from the poor class and workers, noting that the restaurant opens its doors daily from 12 to 2 in the afternoon (local time), and from 5 in the afternoon to eleven at night (local time), stressing that his restaurant is not like other restaurants in the governorate, even at the level of food.

 

The Kurdistan Regional Government has nearly stopped employment for almost 10 years due to economic crisis from ISIS war to the current Covid crisis, but number of graduates from college and universities keep rising, so the youth of the Kurdistan Region seek to find alternatives of government employment by opening small businesses and projects.
