Mansa can finally hear after having a cochlear implant

Six-year old Mansa Botan, whose been deaf since being a baby, can finally hear now thanks to Kurdistan Save Children (KSC) who has sponsored her cochlear implant surgery.

 

Mansa is currently practicing her weekly speech and talking trainings through KSC's hearing and speech training specialists.   

 

According to the KSC, more than 100 children with speech and hearing disabilities visit the KSC every month  to do speaking and hearing trainings in order to live like any normal child!

 

Since (2010) the KSC has sponsored cochlear implant surgery for more than 231 children, where this surgery used to be done abroad before. The KSC also provided 134 children with hearing aid ear machines and gave more than 3236 courses of speech and hearing training by specialists for children who need it.

 

Kurdistan Save the Children was founded in 1991 in the Kurdistan Region as a non-profit, non-political and non-sectarian organization that provides assistance to children in various fields without regard to race, gender, traditions, political or religious affiliation.
