20 Years old Yazidi girl rescued in Syria

A Yazidi girl from Shingal (Sinjar) has been rescued at the Basira town in Syria, the Yazidi House in the Jazira Region of Syria announced on Monday.

 

The Yazidi House said in a statement that they have received the 20 years old Yazidi, Asima Jasim Khidhir, from the Women Asayish Center in the Jazira Region.

 

Adding that the girl was previously in the Basira town but has managed to get herself to the Women Asayish of Al-Hasakah Region.

 

According to the statement the girl cannot remember her home town in Shingal due to bad mental health conditions.

 

According to the latest statistics from the Rescue Office of the kidnapped Yazidis in Duhok, 3544 Yazidis out of 6417 have been rescued from the clutches of ISIS and so far, fate of 2873 Yazidis kidnapped by ISIS on August 3, 2014 is still unknown.

 

The ISIS terrorist organization has attacked and occupied Shingal district, heart of the Yazidi land, committing mass massacres and the most heinous crimes against the Yazidis. Thousands of Yazidi women and girls were forced into sexual slavery by the Islamic State, children were abducted, and thousands of Yazidi men were killed.
