The exchange rates of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar stabilized in the currency markets of the Kurdistan Region.
Owner of one of the money exchange offices in Sulaymaniyah, Shuan Hadi, told PUKmedia on Monday: "With the opening of the currency markets, the exchange rate of 100 US dollars against the Iraqi dinar stabilized on 141 thousand and 500 dinars, indicating that the dollar exchange rate has stabilized compared to the exchange rate during the past days."
The prices of the remaining currencies against the Iraqi dinar are as follows:
100 pounds = 190.750 dinars.
100 Euro = 172,000 dinars.
100 Turkish lira = 18.750 dinars.
100,000 Iranian tomans = 5,600 dinars.
Dollar exchange rates have dramatically increased against the Iraqi dinar recently as part of the Iraqi government's devaluation process to fill financial gaps of 2021 budget. As part of that plan, the national currency against the US dollar was devalued by nearly 20 percent.
