Sulaymaniyah: Culture Directorate to hold several activities on World Cinema Day

The Culture Directorate in Sulaymaniyah Governorate is scheduled to hold several activities, including honoring artists and screening 12 films, as part of the celebration of the World Cinema Day.
On Wednesday, Mariwan Ibrahim, director of the cinema art department at the Culture Directorate, told PUKmedia that the cinema art department, on World Cinema Day, will hold a special celebration at the city's art hall, where 12 films produced by the Cinema Art Department will be displayed.
He added that the department will, as part of its activities on this occasion, honor a number of artists.
Ibrahim pointed out that the celebration will start at 4 pm on Monday 12/28/2020, and will continue for two days.
World cinema celebrates its 125th birthday this year, as the first cinema screening was held in Paris on December 28, 1895, when the Lumière brothers performed their first cinematic concert in front of the audience.
