Story of a 99 year-old coronavirus survivor

On Tuesday, a specialist doctor told a happy story about the survival of a patient infected with Coronavirus after suffering from the disease for a week in Sulaymaniyah.

 

Dr. Dahat Hwezi, Director of the Shahid Hemin Hospital for treating people with Coronavirus in Sulaymaniyah, told PUKmedia: "This published image is of the lungs of a 99-year-old patient suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease."

 

He added: "When the patient was admitted to the Shahid Hemin Hospital, it became clear that she had a major infection in her lungs and needed to be placed under an oxygen machine, and the blood level in her body decreased."

 

Dr. Dahat Hweizi continued: "This patient also suffered a state of coma and a stroke in the brain, and we gave her two bottles of blood."

 

He said that miraculously and after continuous medical follow-up and continuous treatment during the week that the patient spent in the hospital, her health condition improved and she was discharged from the hospital.

 

The Kurdistan Region has recorded 101,826 coronavirus cases so far with 3,343 deaths and 67,261recoveries.
