KRG seeks to guarantee 320 billion dinars for salaries in a summit meeting with Iraqi presidencies

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation headed by Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, will hold an important meeting on Saturday, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Samir Hawrami, spokesperson for the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, said during a special statement to PUKmedia that the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation will hold a summit meeting this afternoon, with the Federal Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee to discuss ways of agreement between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government.
He added that the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation seeks to guarantee the 320 billion dinars for employees' salaries and other financial dues for the Kurdistan Region in the law on financing the fiscal deficit.
Hawrami pointed out that Qubad Talabani confirmed during previous meetings with the federal government and political parties, that the Kurdistan Regional Government is ready to agree on the oil and financial files, and we will implement the duties of the Kurdistan Regional Government in accordance with the law and the constitution, and in return, the rights and entitlements of the Kurdistan Region must be determined and disbursed.
A senior KRG delegation headed by Qubad Talabani has been in Baghdad for four days now to dialogue with Iraqi government officials in an attempt to reach an agreement to address the outstanding financial issues between the KRG and the Iraqi government.
