Demonstrations continue in Kurdistan Region's Sulaymaniyah province, public and government properties damaged

Demonstrations in Kurdistan Region's cities and town continued on Friday due to the delay of the salaries' of the citizens, in several towns and cities the demonstrators have set fire to the government buildings and headquarters belonging to the Kurdish political parties. 

 

Today, Friday the citizen in Sulaymaniyah province continued the demonstrations, blocked roads, open fire on the streets and damaged both the public and government properties. 

 

The KRG citizens have been demonstrating for the past two weeks, due to the delay of their salaries from the government.

 

The current IKR government has only distributed four salaries in 2020 out of twelve, and this has angered the citizens and the public.
