     Coronavirus: Announcing 88 recovery cases in Kurdistan Region

The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government, announced the continuation of examinations of citizens suspected of being infected with the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

 

The Ministry of Health said in a statement which, PUKmedia received a copy of it: "The number of citizens who entered health isolation centers (quarantine) reached 6373, and 4,734 left health isolation centers. There are still 1,639 citizens inside the health isolation centers including, 679 in Erbil, 175 in Sulaimaniyah, 689 in Duhok, 48 in Halabja, 9 in Garmian, 31 in Raparin and 8 in Koya."

 

"During the past 24 hours, necessary laboratory tests were conducted for 721 suspected cases of Coronavirus, including, 540 in Erbil, 124 in Sulaimaniyah, and 57 cases in Duhok, and the results showed that 44 of them were infected with the virus," the statement added.

 

"41 new infection cases were recorded in Erbil Governorate, including 17 women, 15 men and 9 children," the statement concluded.

 

The statement pointed out that most of the infection cases from Erbil city are those that attended the condolence in Karezan of Erbil city.

 

"Sulaymaniyah Province has recorded 3 new cases of coronavirus and they are 3 women between the ages of 28, 24 and 20 who were in contact with previous infection cases of coronavirus," the statement said.

 

"The total infection cases of Coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region reached 277 cases, including 3 deaths and 88 cases of full recovery, and rest of the cases are subject to medical care," the statement continued.
