     Golden Bla Awards costs will be donated to 350 needy families

Ibrahim Ahmed Foundation announced, on Saturday, that the costs of the Golden Bla Awards ceremony of the writer and freedom fighter Ibrahim Ahmed will be donated to 350 needy families.

 

The Foundation stated, during a statement, that the organization organizes the ceremony annually, in which the Golden Bla Award is given to creative and distinguished personalities in various fields in decrees attended by many political, cultural, literary and academic figures. The event is held in conjunction with the birthday of the writer and thinker and political figure, Ibrahim Ahmed.

 

The statement added that this year's costs of the event will be given to 350 needy families who suffer financial problems due to the conditions formed following the outbreak of the coronavirus in Kurdistan, stressing the event will not be held to ensure the safety of all and as a commitment to the health instructions.

 

Stressing that the organization will provide daily supplies for 350 needy families in the Kurdistan Region, including the families of martyrs and families displaced for political reasons from western Kurdistan, in addition to providing the needs of 450 families within the Child Protection project of Kurdistan Save The Children Organization, and providing the requirements of medical teams in Sinjar and its surroundings and paying rents for needy families in the city of Sulaymaniyah, as the organization undertakes to repair and renew the of the Halabja Martyrs' Monument, which was damaged days ago due to the windy weather conditions.

 

The organization also offered its apologies to the distinguished and creative people who were nominated nominated for the Golden Bla Awards, wishing everyone safety.
