PUK distributes food baskets over displaced families living inside Ashti camp

The director of Ashti refugee camp in Sulaymaniyah province's Arbat town confirmed the lack of infected individuals inside the camp, thanking the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan for distributing food basket over the displaced families living inside the camp. 


"All the daily necessities are available to the camp's residents. There are no confirmed cases of the coronavirus inside the camp"


PUK distributed 250 food baskets over the displace people just two days ago, and also provided a  health team for sterilization and fumigation of the camp, Hama Lao said.


The camp is closed except for emergency cases. 


Ashti camp, 16 kilometers from Sulaymaniyah, is home to 10,000 internally displaced persons, or IDPs.
