     An MP: Al-Zarfi did not start consultations with Kurds yet

Hassan Ali, an MP of the PUK's bloc in the Council of Representatives on Wednesday, denied the start of the consultations of Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zurfi with the Kurdish parties.

 

The local medias had recently published a news about the start of Zarfi’s consultations with the Kurdish parties on forming the Iraq's new government.

 

Hassan Ali, an MP of the PUK's bloc in the Council of Representatives, said in a special statement to PUKmedia: "The news of starting Zarfi’s consultations with Kurdish parties is not a real news, explained that Al-Zurfi has not started initiatives to consult with the Kurdish parties yet."

 

"Al-Zurfi has already started his consultations with the Iraqi parties to persuade them, after some Shiite blocs refused him to form Iraq's new government," he explained.

 

The Iraqi presidenct, Dr. Barham Salih, assigned Adnan Al-Zurfi, to form Iraq's next government on Mrach 17. 2020.
