The Minister of the Peshmerga said in a message sent to women, "On the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, we extend our congratulations to the women of Kurdistan on this occasion. We also extend our warmest congratulations to the families, mothers, and sisters of the martyrs and heroes of the Peshmerga, and this occasion is an opportunity to congratulate all the women of the world and all the struggling women, who gave sacrifices side by side with men for the freedom and liberation of Kurdistan and humanity. "

Ismail added, "March 8, International Women's Day, became a symbol of the struggle of women to combat sexual discrimination. Respecting March 8 is a respect for over two centuries of women's struggle to combat the persecution caused by the manly regime against women. The struggle of women has nothing to do with March 8, but March 8 became a symbol of the struggle of women against oppression."

He explained, "There are prominent women workers, Peshmerga, and officers who have an important and influential role in all military and administrative fields, who fully belief in the principles of equality between women and men."

The Minister of the Peshmerga said, "On this occasion, we value the struggle of women in general, and the women of Kurdistan in particular, especially the heroic feminist force within the forces of the Peshmerga of Kurdistan."
