KRG delegation visits Baghdad

A delegation from the Kurdistan Region is scheduled to visit the capital Baghdad on Tuesday, to discuss with officials of the federal government, the conditions of the disputed areas.

 

According to the information available to PUKmedia, the delegation will be headed by Khalid Shwani, Minister of State in the Kurdistan Regional Government, and will meet with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice to discuss the constitutional article 140 and the status of the disputed areas.

 

The delegation will also discuss with officials in the federal government, the problems facing the Kurdish farmers in the disputed areas and the confiscation of their agricultural lands in Nineveh, Kirkuk, Khurmatu and Khanaqin, and handing them over to Arabs.
