The German consul appreciates the role of the PUK

Saadi Ahmed Pira, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, received the German Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, Mrs. Barbara Wolf and her accompanying delegation on Wednesday in the city of the capital of the Kurdistan Region Erbil.


During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the political situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world.


Mrs. Wolf expressed her happiness for holding the 4th Congress of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan on December 21, appreciating the role of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan for its relations with the Social Democrats in Europe, hoping to strengthen and develop those relations in all areas. 


For his part, Pira highlighted the reforms in the Kurdistan Region and their importance, in addition to discussing the developments in the demonstrations in Baghdad, pointing out that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is with resolving all problems through dialogue in accordance with the foundations of the constitution and in a way that guarantees the rights of the people of Kurdistan.
