Kurdistan Music and Singing Festival kicks off in Erbil

The Kurdistan Music and Singing Festival kicks off on Monday under the slogan "Music and singing voice for the homeland" in the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region.


The festival is held by the artistic sections of music of the Directorate General of Culture and Arts in Erbil, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Regional Government.


Participating in the festival are bands from western and northern Kurdistan, Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Kirkuk, Dohuk and Halabja (Erbil Music Band, Lore Band in Sulaimaniyah, Kirkuk Music Group, Han Sarhad Group from Northern Kurdistan, Sarbakhoon Band from Western Kurdistan, Ronak Band from Eastern Province). Kurdistan, Ruppad (Duhok, Halabja), as well as artists.


The festival kicks off on Monday at the Culture Hall in Erbil.
