Jwan Ihsan: Amendment of the Constitution must be made by agreement

The committee to amend the Constitution is scheduled to hold a meeting while the head of the PUK bloc in the Council of Representatives emphasizes that the amendment of any paragraph must be by agreement.


The Kurdsat News TV channel quoted  the speech of MP, Jwan Ihsan, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Council of Representatives as saying: The Constitutional Amendment Committee will meet on Monday to nominate the chairman of the committee, explaining that the committee will discuss amending articles and paragraphs within the constitution or the whole constitution.


He added: The Kurds should be united, stressing that the amendment of any article or paragraph should be by agreement and not by the votes of the majority.
