Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, congratulated the Kurdistan Women Union on the 30th anniversary of its founding.

The congratulatory text reads:

I extend my congratulations to the Kurdistan Women Union on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its founding, hoping that this occasion will be a station for new stages of struggle and defending rights and freedoms.

Kurdish women have demonstrated their potential with different specialties, including in the internal forces, which gives more power to society. Kurdish women are an important part of the national struggle and have made great sacrifices that are a source of pride.

I find this anniversary as an opportunity to renew our full support for the development of women's capacities and combat the obstacles that hinder women's progress in various fields.

Congratulations to you on establishing your union, and through you we pass greetings to all Kurdish women.
