MP for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc stressed the need for the Kurdistan Regional Government to make an agreement with the Iraqi federal government to address the outstanding problems.
MP Shirwan Mirza, member of the parliamentary finance committee, told PUKmedia: Some political parties have become the opposition and began to exploit the matter of oil between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government against Prime Minister Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi.
He added: Since the Kurds need Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, who also needs the support of the Kurds, it is on the Kurdistan Regional Government to start a comprehensive dialogue with the federal government and if possible to reach an appropriate agreement in the interest of all parties.
He continued: The oil matter must be resolved between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government quickly because the budget year 2020 will come to the Council of Representatives in October 2019, and the Kurdish parliamentarians should know on what basis the budget will be dealt with and will oil be delivered to the federal government or not?
